Horace Newsome, Jr.
Horace Newsome, 93, of Durham, NC, formerly of Pikeville, passed away on Tuesday at Pettigrew Rehabilitation Center in Durham.
He was born on November 25, 1931, in Wayne County, NC, to the late Horace Newsome, Sr. and Mary Johnson Newsome. He is survived by his children.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 12:00 PM at New Greenleaf Church of Christ, 301 W. Hooks River Road, Goldsboro, NC. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Wayne Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Haskins Memorial Services, Inc.
